One of the most common complaints people have about carpet cleaning is that the spots seem to return after they have their carpets cleaned or after they attempt spot removal themselves. There are several reasons this will happen.
“Steam” carpet cleaning uses high-pressure water to remove the dirt from your carpeting. This can actually force dirt deep into the carpet, if the technician is not well trained or is indifferent. Carpeting dries from the surface down. As it dries, the soil “wicks” back to the surface, causing spots to re-appear.
Carpet spotters that contain soaps or detergents can leave a residue that will attract dirt. You may have removed all of the offending spot, only to have the residue cause a new spot.
The answer? Use a carpet cleaning professional. Our cleaning system discourages returning spots and does not leave a dirt-attracting residue.
